Unique username for users
WhatsApp, one of the world's most popular messaging apps, continues to improve to meet the needs of its users. Soon, users are expected to be able to add unique usernames to their profiles, bringing the app more in line with other social media platforms. Until now, WhatsApp relied heavily on users' mobile phone number, but parent company Meta is working hard to reduce that dependency.
